Vendetta Online is First Tegra Game in the Windows Store

Vendetta Online, a sci-fi MMO that is thus far the sole IP from the team at Guild Software, is the first Tegra game to appear in the Windows Store on Windows RT.

Vendetta Online is “a graphically intensive MMORPG set in space,” which rules out the bearded dwarves and magical mounts that so often define the genre. The game offers a persistent online galaxy, allowing for empire building and trade. Where there are trade routes, there also are pirates and groups of players who band together so that they can survive attacks by such scoundrels, which should ensure that Vendetta Online will be a treat to play with friends if it can build and maintain an appropriate audience.

The original 2004 edition of Vendetta Online drew comparison to Freelancer. It was rated T for Teen by the ESRB, due to fantasy violence, and was distributed by Strategy First, Inc. on Mac and PC. Guild Software has continued to develop and support the title since then, while also expanding its availability to additional devices. The game now stands to make a bigger mark than it ever did previously, thanks to its tablet support.
